NON TRADITIONAL RESEARCH OUTPUTS

ERA ELIGIBILITY AND QUALITY IN THE CREATIVE ARTS

Creative works resulting from research are eligible research outputs for Excellence in Research for Australia evaluations and are included in the University’s Key Performance Indicators. Creative and performing arts categories in My Research Publications are closely aligned with ERA creative works categories:

The following pages relate only to the non-traditional creative and performing arts categories and are extracted from the largerResearchDefinitions document prepared by theOffice of Research in 2010/11. Consult the Griffith Website for more extensive information on definitions of categories such as Books (A1), Book chapters (B1), Journal articles (C1) and Conference papers (E1).

The above four Categories represent the MAJOR OUTPUTS which are ERA eligible. Each category also has a MINOR OUTPUT definition designated by Q2, R2, S2 and T2. In addition, a third variation of each Q3, R3,S3 and T3 represents professional practice outputs that mirror each respective type of NTRO.
