Advance Queensland Research Fellowships EOI Open

Round 2 of the Advance Queensland Research Fellowships will open shortly. In preparation for this round, An Expression of Interest process will open to ensure highly competitive applications that are well aligned with the objectives of the Advance Queensland scheme are supported for submission to DSITI.

There are two types of Advance Queensland Research Fellowships:

  • Early-Career Fellowships - up to 5 yrs post-PhD experience
  • Mid-Career Fellowships - 5 to 10 yrs post-PhD experience

We strongly encourage researchers intending on submitting an EOI to review the guidelines and FAQs (attached) from the previous round and to discuss their project with their Centre Director and Dean before submitting to OR. To assist with discussions, the previously successful applicants for this scheme had the following key indicators:

  • one partner organisation that is Queensland based
  • a very strong existing collaboration with the partner organisation
  • contributions that exceeded the DSITI funds requested
  • demonstrable benefits for Griffith and the partner organisation for the research
  • clear outcomes and relevance for Queensland in line with the Queensland Science and Research Priorities
  • clear translation of research through tangible economic, social, environmental benefits to Queensland over the next 5 years
