Nicole Carroll – Instruments

This presentation will focus on data and conceptual mapping strategies for my dissertation project, "Orrery Arcana." I will discuss the application of NASA lunar data, tarot numerology and symbolism, and W.B. Yeats’ esoteric system detailed in "A Vision," to audio-visual performance.

Nicole Carroll is a composer, performer, sound designer, and builder. Her work spans installation, improvisation, and fixed media performance. She is active as a sound designer and composer in theater, performs electronic music under the alias “n0izmkr,” and builds custom synthesizers and performance sensor systems. She is currently a visiting research fellow at the Queensland Conservatorium Research Centre.
