Celebrate the release of Griffith Review 53: Our Sporting Life in August with editor Julianne Schultz in conversation with a group of insightful, witty and funny sports lovers.
We know that “sport lies at the heart of what it means to be Australian”, and this panel of sporting experts will explore the links between sport and business, sport and culture, and sport and social cohesion. Join William McInnes, actor and sports tragic; Naomi McCarthy, Olympic Water Polo gold medallist and manager of Griffith University Sports College; and Sean Dorney, former ABC correspondent and one time captain of the PNG Rugby League team as they dissect life of the athlete and the passion of the spectator. The evening will also feature a special reading by award winning emerging writer Jessica White.
